Rooted in Meaning

Hello! I’m Mafalda, a celebrant-poet, a storyteller and a cheerleader of life in all its forms. My work is rooted in meaning and deep love, beyond performance.

My path toward becoming a celebrant started when I felt deeply called to organise my child’s ‘Welcome to the World’ gathering for friends and family. Looking back, I wanted to become a celebrant before I even knew celebrancy was possible outside religious frameworks. Many years later, the call came to organise women’s circles, and I later pursued formal training at the International College of Professional Celebrants, where I trained under highly experienced tutors and professionals. I actively continue my training and study into the many facets of celebrancy.

My attention to detail from my academic career pairs beautifully with the deep imagination I have developed through a life as a Creatrix in art, design and poetry. All my ceremony scripts are built from scratch just for you, and I weave in tailored symbolic elements suited to your vision.

As a neurodivergent person, I offer my emotional attunement, creativity, and sensitivity as we embark on creating your own ceremony. Regardless of identity, who we love, our characteristics, or how our bodies or brains work, what unites us is love and will always be love.

I am a lover of nature and trees, and I am passionate about dancing and movement. I praise beauty in all things and embrace all the quirks that make us humans. Whether you come with your partner, alone, or with a circle of loved ones, your ceremony will be held with care, intention, and deep reverence. I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
