I’m Mafalda, an independent celebrant, poet, ritual guide, and the heart behind Hallowed Tree Ceremonies. I’m based in Glasgow, covering Stirling, Falkirk, Ayr, and will travel far when a unique and deeply personal ceremony calls.

BILINGUAL CEREMONIES: English and Portuguese are my main languages, with knowledge of other languages like Spanish and French.
All my ceremonies are developed with a poet’s heart, honouring your particular moment with the freedom of being an independent celebrant to explore many formats. The possibilities are endless:

How we begin
✦ Every ceremony begins with a conversation – gentle, curious, and grounded. I’ll get to know your story or the story of the person you want to celebrate, and how you wish your ceremony to be.
✦ A deeper exploration is followed and it differs from ceremony to ceremony.
✦ I’ll create your ceremony script to share with you and make sure it’s meaningful, authentic, and reflects your wishes.
✦ For weddings, at the end of a ceremony the couple may wish to sign a beautiful certificate as a keepsake. (Please be aware that this is not a legal document)

A note on AI – I find poetic threads in all aspects of life. From joy, to grief, to rebirth…the uniqueness of human experience cannot be captured by AI. I use AI for note taking to help me capture our conversations so I can focus on you when we meet. I don’t use AI to write ceremony scripts and I create unique ceremonies each time.
